A high-paced position producing video assets in support of our client's marketing activities.

We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of digital content creation and is able to develop on-brand and engaging digital assets that support the e-commerce business and other digital, as well as print marketing touch points.

We are looking for a WordPress/Shopify developer responsible for building themes from scratch as well as for working on already existing client sites.

Experience with building Shopify themes is not necessary (as long as the candidate is willing to learn), but it will be considered a huge plus. The position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript) as well as an understanding of the entire web development process, including design.

Individuals in this role should be accustomed to producing semantic code that adheres to industry standards and specifications while working closely with stakeholders and in-house designers. The developer should have a thorough understanding of progressive enhancement and developing "mobile first".

Requirements

At least 3 years experience building custom WordPress themes.

Any experience with building Shopify themes and Liquid templating language (or willingness to learn with our support)

Strong understanding and experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (jQuery).

Demonstrable expertise.

Experience with CSS pre-processors–specifically SASS.

Experience with build tools such as Gulp, Webpack and Grunt.

Thorough understanding of Git and workflow processes.

Testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools.

Experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Excellent spoken and written English.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to navigate, and be productive in a preexisting codebase.

Ability to organize workload independently within project requirements while respecting timeframes.

Nice to haves

Experience building Gutenberg blocks.

Experience with page builders.

Experience with other content management systems.

Experience with dependency management tools.

Previous agency experience is a plus.

An eye for design and ability to use modern design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD/Photoshop, etc, and extract necessary assets.

Ability to work with modern component-based front-end frameworks e.g. Bootstrap, Tachyons, etc.

Ability to work with advanced front-end frameworks such as Vue, or React.

We're looking for a special kind of designer to join our ranks.

This kind of designer doesn't necessarily create pretty UIs, or frictionless user-flows. Where they excel is in the early stage of the design process (research) where the clients don't yet know what they want, who to sell it to, or how to explain it to us.

This is where you come in. You are able to understand or create the business requirements a digital product is supposed to fulfill. At the same time you are the representative of the end-user, making sure that the product delivers value and creates satisfied customers.

You will work extremely closely with stakeholders and across teams in various stages of digital product design and development process.
